Where do I begin to describe the incredible blessing that Jestine has been in my life? Over the years, she has been more than a friend; she has been a source of wisdom, comfort, and strength. From the very first day I met Jestine Mathis—whom I lovingly call Aunty Jestine—when I relocated to Jacksonville in 2022, she became a divine presence in my life. Through every conversation, every prayer, and every moment of encouragement, she has poured strength and wisdom into my spirit. Her gentle guidance led me to become a member of her church, where I found not only a community but a spiritual home. During some of the most challenging times in my marriage, she stood by me as a confidant and prayer warrior, reminding me that greater is He that is within me—and because of Him, I can rise, heal, and become the SHE God created me to be. Aunty Jestine has been more than a mentor; she has been a vessel of hope, truth, and unconditional love. I will forever be grateful for the impact she has made on my journey, and I thank God for placing her in my life at just the right time.
Jestine is a true gift from God to everyone she meets. The needs of others are a priority for her and where her heart and passion for people lies. Words can hardly capture how much Jestine means to me. She’s one of the kindest, most caring souls I’ve ever known. Her loyalty, selflessness, and unwavering support have been a constant source of strength in my life. During my recovery after major surgery, she was by my side—nursing me back to health, praying over me daily, and helping me regain not just my strength, but my spirit. Her love was a healing force, and I will never forget how deeply she cared for me. She also stood by me through one of the hardest chapters of my life—my divorce after more than twenty years of marriage. When I questioned my worth, my faith, and everything I thought I knew, she reminded me of who I was. She spoke life into me at my lowest moments and helped me reconnect with my faith. Because of her, I walk stronger in my spiritual journey today. She’s an incredibly compassionate, reliable woman of God, and I am so deeply grateful for the blessing she’s been in my life.
